everything except legal advice

WELCOME!

Welcome. Come in. Take a breath. Wherever you are in the world. Wherever you're from. You're not alone. Have some tea.

Maybe you're thinking about getting divorced. Maybe you've already started your divorce or have separated. In any case, you're abroad. You’ve been looking online for international divorce information. You’re confused, overwhelmed and at least a little bit afraid of what’s ahead of you. You’ve looked at divorce websites and legal firms' webpages and they seem to add to the confusion. You’ve asked on forums and had twenty very helpful, but entirely different responses. Maybe your to-be-ex has told you exactly what is going to happen, but it doesn't sound right or fair to you. You've heard of people getting divorced back home and maybe where you live now, and they managed it. So why does it seem so confusing?

This site is here to give you all the information you're looking for, and perhaps more importantly, information you didn't know you need. Come on in and take a look around.

Not legal advice

This site does not offer legal advice. Instead it aims to empower you to get the best legal advice for your specific circumstances.

You've heard about international divorce and international divorce lawyers, but what does it actually mean? Could it be that 'international divorce' is something that is confusing your search for clear information?

If you have children, the idea of going 'home' can be very tempting. Before you take your children and leave, however, you need to know if you could be committing child abduction. Yes, even of your own children.
